Etodolac No Prescription

Both forms are prescribed to relieve the inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain of osteoarthritis (the most common form of arthritis) and rheumatoid arthritis.
Etodolac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, is available in regular and extended-release forms (Etodolac XL).

- Cyclosporine (sandimmune, neoral);
- Aspirin;

CHILDREN

The safety and effectiveness of Etodolac have not been established in children.

ADULTS

Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis

The usual daily maximum ranges from 600 to 1,000 milligrams, although your doctor may prescribe as much as 1,200 milligrams a day if necessary.
The starting dose of Etodolac is 300 milligrams 2 or 3 times a day, or 400 or 500 milligrams twice a day.

General Pain Relief

Ordinarily, you should not take more than 1,000 milligrams a day, although your doctor may increase the dose to 1,200 milligrams a day if absolutely necessary.
Take 200 to 400 milligrams every 6 to 8 hours as needed.

The usual dose of Etodolac XL is 400 to 1,200 milligrams taken once a day.

Your doctor will stick with the lowest dose that proves effective.
