Compazine should not be prescribed if the patient suffers from:

- Glaucoma;
- Kidney disease;

If you are suffering from these ailments you might not be allowed to start a treatment with Compazine, you might need special dosages or monitoring during treatment.
Do not take Compazine without your doctor's consent if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding an infant (it is not known whether Compazine can cause harm to a fetus or a child).
Patients over 60 are more likely to experience side effects. Therefore they should consult their physician before starting to take Compazine.

Compazine Intake Guidelines

Follow the instructions that your doctor has given you regarding your treatment with Compazine. If you have any further questions, ask your doctor, a pharmacist or a nurse.
You should accompany each and every dose of Compazine that you take with a glass of water. You can take the drug on an empty stomach. You should not chew, crush or break Compazine capsules: try to swallow them in one piece.
If you are taking the medicine in a concentrate form, it is best if you mix it with a couple (2-4) ounces of water, milk, soda or semi solid food.
